I live with my mother, who has hepatitis C. I'm very paranoid about contracting it from her. She is absent-minded, and I'm worried that she will use/has used my razors or toothbrush. I try to keep my razors out of the bathroom when I'm not using them, but sometimes I forget (hmm, I guess I'm also absent-minded). Recently she purchased the same brand of disposable razors as me. Needless to say I was very annoyed by this because it indicated to me that she's not very concerned/aware of her potential to infect me.

Anyway, how concerned should I be? I've had Hep C test in the past, but typically how long does it take for an infection to show up on a test?
