"High risk" types of HPV are what cause cervical cancer, but numerous potential "co-factors" can increase the risk of developing this disease; some studies suggest women with low levels of folic acid (B vitamins) are more likely to develop cervical cancer. Also important in preventing cervical cancer is not smoking. Perhaps the main thing, though, is to have Pap tests at regular intervals, as this allows cervical cell changes to be detected, monitored and (if needed) treated well before cancer enters the picture.
