Welcome to our message boards. Side effects with HPV vaccines are usually reported as soreness and redness at the injection site, and are most often described as mild or moderate. HPV vaccination is safe and almost universally well-tolerated. The currently licensed HPV vaccine is approved for use with females ages 9-26. Studies are being done to assess the effectiveness of the vaccine in women over 26, and men.
