I've developed 2 small pimple looking bumps at the base of my penis and small bumps on my scrotum. I've read about Fordyce's spots of which the bumps on my scrotum look similar to.
I've researched into and seen pictures of what the genital warts from HPV look like, but mine do not look exactly like the cauliflower-like ones that are usually seen - they are more like pimples. They have been there for at least a month but haven't gotten larger and I also have no signs at all of them anywhere else.
My girlfriend has had regular pap-smear tests and had been negative (does HPV always or usually show up in these?).
It's obvious that I should be tested or looked at, but before this is done, I was wondering if you could answer these questions.

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately we can't speculate about symptoms, and being evaluated by your health care provider is really the only way to sort out what might be happening. Genital warts are usually diagnosed clinically with a visual inspection.

Read about symptoms re: genital warts at http://www.ashastd.org/hpv/hpv_learn_warts.cfm#2. Warts can vary in appearance but are often dry, painless, flesh-colored growths (color can vary, too). They can be raised or flat, smooth or rough, with either single or multiple lesions appearing. Often they do have a classic "cauliflower" shape.
