At about the age of 13, before any sexual contact, I had a wart on my pinky finger. It lasted for a little over a year. Since then every couple months i develop one somewhere on my hand, then it goes away given a few months, I have now noticed one on my penis, the tip, I have a safe and clean sexual history, 2 women, one who was a virgin and one who has had only one other sexual partner. I have had the same sex partner for over a year now, and noticed one on my hand and my penis the same day, is this an std or just a normal wart from the virus i have had before sexual contanct, and what should i do?

The types of HPV that cause warts of the hands and fingers are seldom the same that would cause genital warts. Of course, people can have bumps and so forth in the genital area for lots of different reasons, and it's hard to say if what you've seen on your genital skin is HPV-related or not; the best thing to do is have a health care provider evaluate the symptoms you've noticed, and they should be able to sort it out for you. If a referral to a free of low-cost clinic would be helpful, let us know.

It might also be a good idea not to have sex while any genital symptoms are present, at least until you have a better idea what's causing them.
