Wondering if anyone has had any experience with internal anal warts. I went to the colon rectal surgeon and she said I have about 10 warts just inside my anal canal. She said it would not involve alot to surgically remove them, but it would involve a general anesthesia and create some pain for several days.

I have heard that internal anal warts will often clear on their own over time. Has anyone experienced this or am I just dreamin? If they can clear on their own -- how long does it take? Also is there is any type of topical application that can be applied to the anal canal that would reduce or clear the warts?

Thanks for your post. Warts can self resolve, but anal lesions are generally removed rather than taking a "watch and wait" approach. When treatment is in fact indicated, there a number of options. While small external warts are often treated with topical agents, warts inside the anal canal are almost always removed surgically, and this site will offer details.
