You guys have given me information before & I hope you
can help again. My history is as follows......

HX: 40YOA. 2 year hx of CIN1 confirmed through LEEP >
1 & ½ years ago. All subsequent PAPs show low grade
dysplasia, but numerous vaginal/cervical biopsies all
normal. I was sent to a gyn/oncologist....... same
results. They are just waiting now & taking PAPs every
3 months. I am still HPV positive.

I feel uneasy just waiting for this to worsten..... is
this common protocol???? Can they treat this?????
How????

Thanks S

Try not to worry yourself too much. It sounds like the doctors are on top of your situation if they are having you come in every three months to check things out. What has your new doctor told you?

Hang in there,

Angela

I agree with Angela. Try not to worry too much. Your doctors seem to be on top of it, and keeping track of it. If, God forbid, it does worsen, at least it can be caught very early. I've read that sometimes it can take up to two years for it to finally go into remission (leave your system, however people like to put it). Unfortunately, I have heard of some cases where it can take longer.

It's frustrating, I know. I have Cin 1 myself. I just went for my last check up a week ago, and am biting at the bit for the results. Supposedly won't be for another week. It's been almost a year for me (haven't had a LEEP or anything). I have a feeling it's not gone, but I'm holding onto that sliver of hope. :) At least take some comfort knowing you're coming in for regular check ups. That's the best way to face this down. Stay healthy and be strong.
