I don't know if I'm going nuts, but I've had warts cryo'd before--a couple of years ago. They were pretty obvious ones.

I've gone back and had one recurrent wart cryo'd, and we're doing Aldara this time. I checked a lot more carefully this time than I did before. Now, I wonder if there are more and more that were there that we never noticed. I'm starting to wonder if every last little bump or spot is a wart. I don't know if I'm just overreacting. Anyone ever feel like they just seem to be everywhere--even in places where you didn't think they were? I'm sure there are many here who wonder when the warts will just go away and leave us alone.

I'm definitely going to have them looked at to make sure I'm not just freaking out over nothing.

One test you can do is dab a little vinegar on what you suspect is a wart. It's not 100% accurate, but if it's a wart, chances are it will turn white.

hello-

oh my gosh YES!

after my initial diagnosis with GW- i was ablolutely certain that every little bump or area of skin that appeared different could be a new growth.

who would have every believed that there is so much to the human anatomy in skin areas and textures eh?

i have resolved- after many hours with a magnified mirror- that area that have "changed" are the locations to monitor and leave the rest to the future.

my doctor has been a good sport with my anxiety so far- some times i have been right and sometimes not so much. my outlook is "when in doubt check it out" with your doctor. as time goes by and results are more and more positive- then we can all relax on our selves.

hope you are just being extra careful for now-- this too will pass (i hope).

take care

The vinegar test is really dicey with warts. Too many unrelated things can turn white in the presence of the vinegar (even naturally-occurring yeast).

I don't think it's unusual for someone to worry that every little blemish, bump, or what have you might be a new wart coming up! Aldara might actually help beyond merely treating the warts by making recurrences less likely.

Keep us posted.

Fredo

It's amazing how these warts make us so hypersensitive sometimes.
