Hello again. If you can get in to see a dermatologist, they can probably give you a very accurate opinion with nothing more than a visual inspection. Biopsy is usually reserved for cases where the diagnosis is unclear and isn't commonly done with warts. If there's any real doubt, though, it can be quite helpful. Beyond that you're right, there is no test for HPV that's approved for use with men.
It sounds like you've done everything by the book in terms of getting educated, having your wife do her thing with the ob/gyn, and so on. Keep in mind that even if the former partner had HPV at the time you were with her, it doesn't mean the virus was necessarily transmittable or, even if it was, that you indeed contracted it!
