What is the percetage that women have HPV in America? How many men in America have HPV? Is the rate increasing? or decreasing?

Prevalence of HPV Infection Among Females in the United States

According to this study published earlier this year that looked at HPV prevalence among 1,951 women who were part of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), overall HPV prevalence was 26.8%. Keep in mind this does not look at factors such as those who may have had HPV at some point that has been cleared through the immune response.

A CDC fact sheet on HPV says that 50% of men and women will have an HPV infection at some point in their lifetime and by age 50, up to 80% of women will have had HPV.
