I'm just wondering if there are any guys out there that have had a "diagnosis" experience for GW similar to mine.

I found some small bumps in my pubic region, and my doc cut one off and sent it to the lab. When he discussed my results with me, he told me that the results "were consistent" with GW, but that he couldn't tell me for certain.

What does this mean? Are there any similar conditions that are misdiagnosed as GW? Does anyone know or have an idea about what type of testing is performed on male tissue samples? Why would the doc take a sample and send it to the lab if the results weren't going to be conclusive? Also, isn't it beneficial from a health/treatment/behavioral standpoint for me to know what type of HPV I have?

I would like to know if I actually have GW, or if this was possibly a misdiagnosis!

I realize that I may be just holding out hope that my "diagnosis" was wrong, but I'd like to know if any other guys have had a similar experience, and what, if anything they did about it.
