Hi Everyone,

I'm a bit nervous as to news I received yesterday. I was intimate with someone about a month ago and gave him oral sex. Well, he was just diagnosed yesterday with Genital Warts. Is it possible I will eventually contract HPV or genital warts after one time of giving him oral with it? Also, is it possible if I gave him Oral and kissed him and then he gave me Oral that I can also contract GW or HPV in my vaginal region as well?

Someone please help! :(

Probably not much to worry about, especially with the oral sex/kissing/oral sex scenario. You can't rule anything out but while both HPV and oral sex are common, related oral lesions aren't.

Obviously if you notice any bumps or growths, get evaluated. Keep in mind that most cases of HPV (and you may well not even have the virus) don't result in visible symptoms and are cleared naturally.

Hope this helps.

Best,
Fredo
