Hello!
I was diagnosed with HPV on Dec 16th, 2008. The doctor waited 6 months to see if it cleared, which it didnt, so they waited another 6 months and finally decided I needed the leep because it was getting worse. Well, I had the leep procedure done nov 17th, 2009 everything went fine other than I had some abnormal bleeding about a month after I had the procedure. It only happened twice and then it stopped. Feb 16th me and my boyfriend had sex and I bled afterwards so I went to the doctor. The doctor said I had cervicitis but never really gave me any causes or reasons as to why I had this. She went ahead and did my pap and ran another test for HPV. I got the results two weeks later and she said I had an abnormal pap with CIN-1 displasia.
I am so devasted with this news and completely lost. She said I will probably have to have another leep procedure. I just dont know if I can keep going with this. Is hasnt even been 3 months and I already have it again. Ive only had sex with two people. My first boyfriend and I were both virgins before we had sex and for the past 7 years I had normal paps. 5 months after I started dating my current boyfriend I had my first abnormal pap. So basically I know my current boyfriend was the person who gave it to me and probably the reason I got reinfected, even though we were using condoms.
I could use any advice right about now. I dont know why my body cant fight it and why it progresses so quickly with me. It went from atypical cells to a CIN-3 in less than a year before I had my leep procedure.
If anyone else has experienced something like this please share because everyone I have talked to who has had the leep cleared their HPV.

Some types of hpv infection are faster acting than others. At this point continuing to follow up with your provider is the best thing you can do. Don't hesitate to ask for a 2nd opinion from a oncologist gyn specialist too for peace of mind.
