Hi Fredo,
I'm trying to limit my time on this site (addictive, but good!) however, I just keep looking for more answers to helping fight HPV and reduce the risk of cancer. I've come across a "4life" tranfer factor site that promotes suppliments for boosting the immune system. There were video clips sent to me through email contact for the scientific side of this information - it was very interesting. I'd like to know what you know of the transfer facter treatment. Is is just another "buy my product for good health," type of concept? I'm considering investing in this but want to make sure it may be worth my limited $! Thanks, hopeinsight

Hi Hope,

We have no information on this specific product, sorry to say. There are a number of over-the-counter products sold that claim to help clear HPV, but I don't know that any of them carry FDA approval in that regard or are part of any standard treatment guidelines. We strongly urge anyone to consult with a healthcare provider or pharmacist before using anything available without a prescription that claims to be effective against HPV. This is very much "buyer beware" territory.

There is no medical cure for HPV, and to our knowledge no specific commercial product has been proven to clear the virus. In most cases, development of "natural immunity" will do this on its own, and some experts have recommended that women diagnosed with HPV make sure to have enough folic acid (B vitamins) and beta carotene in their diets. Read more on this at http://www.ashastd.org/phpbb/viewtopic. ... folic+acid.

Hope this helps,
Fredo

Hi Fredo,
Thanks for your time - you are always a help. Good advice. Since I also have Cardiomyopathey I have been aware that yes, it is important to consult before getting yourself into all kinds of products with out knowing more from the medical experts. Thanks again. hopeinsight
