Hi,

Can anyone tell me if it is safe to use a tampon if you have been diagnosed with chlamydia?

I experienced my first symptom yesterday (bleeding) and contributed it to unusually high amounts of stress. Then, I got a call from my doctor and was told that I tested positive for chlamydia. I took Zmax last night, and have had to use tampons for the past 24 hours. Will this dilute Zmax's effectiveness in any way?

You ask a great question about tampons and chlamydia. There have been no studies to suggest that using tampons will change the effectiveness of the Z-max.

My suggestions would be to call your doctor if you're not seeing any changes in symptoms and to err on the side of caution and just use pads until the end of this cycle. Has your doctor recommended you return to the office for recheck after you take the Z-max?
