The doctor should not release any medical information about you due to HIPPA laws. Most likely you may be asked to read over the rules about confidentiality and HIPPA. The forms will ask you if you want to waive your rights or not and you check the appropriate box and sign. Pretty simple

Also some doctor's offices will ask you in case of emergency, who would you want your medical information to be shared with. Some states however, require medcial professionals to report thos who are HIV positive but it vaires with the state.

Other than that, only you and your doctor know your medical history. If you want your partner to know , then it is up to you to inform them.

Sorry it took me so long to respond but you are right. Most doctors will inform you if you have gono by calling you and either ask you to come in or prescribe meds for you to begin your course of treatment. After treatment is done, the doc will most likely have you retest to make sure everything is cleared
