I had chylmadia 17 years ago, Had it treated. Now I am goin to have a complete bloodwork done up, including for std's. Will this still come up on the bloodwork? I dont want to think i have it when it is just the old strain showing up? Also my wife had a workup done last year, and it never came up for her, and if i did still have some of the old strain, it would have showed there correct??
Please help me out, as i dont want to get freaked out for no reason before the bloodtest.
Thanks

rj37,

There should be no reason why a treated infection from 17 years ago would show up on a blood test now. Sometimes people still have a marker for syphillis when bloodwork is done but nothing like that exists for chlamydia.
