For the past 4 months I've been experiencing on-again off-again bouts of irregular discharge, light yellowish in color with a strong, non-fishy odor. I have been to two Planned Parenthood clinics as well as gotten STI testing in an emergency room, and they have been unable to detect anything other than white blood cells - I've consistently tested negative for gonorrhea, chlamydia, yeast, trich, and bacteria. At this point I just want to see a doctor who will be able to give me an answer! My mom tells me to go to a regular gyno but I wonder if they would just send me somewhere else because I need a specialist at this point? At Planned Parenthood they recommended an STI clinic. What's my best option???

White blood cells show that you have something going on that needs further evaluation. You already know it's non-std related from the testing you've had done. At this point a regular gyn is the best bet for follow up.

Thanks Betsy, that's incredibly helpful, I'll make sure to do that. Just in case, I had HIV testing at 8 weeks and 11 weeks following the unprotected sex incident, and I tested negative both times. I am planning to get another text next month, which will be the 6 month point, but I'm feeling pretty confident that I don't have it due to my prior negative tests. However, is it possible that high WBCs could be an indication of HIV and it is just going to show up later than usual for me?

No, wbc's in your vaginal secretions doesn't mean hiv.

No reason to repeat your hiv testing - 11 weeks was plenty of time.
