You know, this is the first time anyone has asked us this. Just on instinct, there doesn't seem to be much risk for STIs from what you describe. Having hands and a tampon shoved down your drawers doesn't involve the same friction, roughed up skin, intimate fluid exchange, etc. that is involved in most STI transmission. I can't tell you there's no risk, of course, but it hardly seems overwhelming.
If your mind is racing and won't let you rest, you can seek testing but that's really more for peace of mind than anything.
