Hi Betsy,

It's been a long time since I posted. About a month ago (ok, it was actually longer and I don't know the exact date) I had a pimple on my right thigh...I can't remember if I broke it or it broke on it's own...but a large pea shaped cyst (that is what the doctor says it is) formed. It turned the skin purple and became hard and pea shaped. After 2 courses of antibiotics (one I did not finish which is why the second one was needed) the doctor decided to make a small incision. There was pus like fluid inside and he sent it off to the lab (results came back that there was no infection). The cyst is still there....although the purple area is more localized and it isn't as hard as it has been. Should I be concerned that it is still there? Also, I've experienced tingling on the back of my right leg since this formed. Should I be checked for anything else?

Thanks as always.

This really doesn't sound like it's std related. You should continue to follow up on it with your provider. If they get stumped, ask for a consult to a dermatologist.
