First i would like to thank all of you for you help with my previous questions.
So thank you all very much.

My next question has to do with the end of the "active" cycle.
As I wrote before, my girlfriends lesion is always at the same spot, thats to say on her buttocks. After a while the lesion kind of pops open and then a scab is formed.
When the scab has formed, does that mean the the virius has retreated to its 'sleep" state ??? i.e. is it now safe to have sex once the scab has formed ??

Hi Mygroups ~

One of the gurus will answer you shortly also, but from what I've learned just because the lesion has burst and scabbed doesn't mean it is over yet.

My understanding is that you need to wait until all visable signs are gone and until everything feels "normal" in that area (like no itching or tingle-y feelings under the skin).

And of course, the virus can be active with no symptoms, so always keep that in mind as well.
