I was recently tested for HSV1 and HSV2. LabCorp did the testing. The test results reference Herpes 1 IgG and Herpes 2 IgG TS. Both results were normal (<0.9). I have now been advised (by my ex-wife) that unless the tests were done using HerpeSelect that they may not be very accurate. LabCorp advised me that they, in fact, use HerpeSelect for the IgG testing, but do not put the HerpeSelect name on the results. Two questions: (1) Does LabCorp use the HerpeSelect exclusively for IgG testing? (2) Does it matter? I've been advised by my doctor that the IgG testing is the best method for detection and I should feel comfortable with these results.
(Additional info, my ex-wife had an outbreak of genital herpes and tested positive. She, of course, blames me. I immediately had the test. Any exposure to her would have been well over 16 weeks prior to the testing.
So, again, I am asssured by my physician that my test results are very accurate and I should relax (and perhaps consider sueing my ex, but that's another story)

It appears that your ex wife didn't get herpes from you.

Not sure what there's to sue about if she didn't know she had it.
