what is the igE test in hvs 1&2, ive heard you can actually test for chronic or acute, my titer was >5.0 is this more chronic or acute?
ive had hsv for 4mos. now and ive been taking valtex 500mg. x2 daily.
problem is that im still have ob one after another, soon as one bump goes down i get another. what should i do?

The ige test isn't used for diagnosing herpes. Do you mean the igg test?

What other work up have you had? how were you diagnosed as having herpes? are you male or female? Very few people do not get significant results with suppressive therapy so a thorough work up is always a good idea when you don't seem to be responding to medications.
