Is it safe to say he would need to come into contact with skin to become infected. What about dirty underwear or a tampon applicator, could those transmit the virus.

I'm pretty sure you knew my answer before you even asked.

I'm going to come to your house and put 2 post it notes on your bathroom mirror for you. One will say - you are not a walking biohazzard and the other will say unless you are having sex with someone, they are not at risk for your herpes. That way every time you brush your teeth or wash your face or hands you'll see them and remember that your herpes is not an issue in day to day life.

your son touching a tampon applicator is a yuck factor only.

Actually I think I need you to come to my house - if you are clean nut, I can watch your son while you clean Of course you'd probably walk into my house and fall over of a heart attack when you saw the dust ....lol.

no dirty clothes and towels aren't an issue either. everyone in a household should have their own towel, washcloth, toothbrush and razor but for reasons that have nothing to do with herpes. so many common germs are transmitted through sharing those. if your child uses your washcloth by accident though, not an issue. same with playing with your toothbrushes. dirty clothing, yuck factor only ( or stink factor if you are at my house and have sweaty athletic kids....lol ).
