such a tricky little bugger, huh? and, it seems to be different for everyone. i'm finding from the boards that some people that have hsv in both locations (the same strain) get the initial ob in one place first and it can be weeks/months later until there are any symptoms of it in the other location. no rhyme or reason.

Betsy-the vast majority of the time, it's not all herpes going on when folks are having non-stop symptoms. It's well worth further evaluation to figure out what all is going on because if it's not herpes causing all the symptoms, all the herpes antivirals in the world aren't going to make a difference.

So my main question that none of my other doctors can seem to figure out is what else can it be besides herpes? It's not another STD or bacterial infection that seems to be going on based off the blood tests and cultures they have taken. Is it a neurological problem that I need to see a specialist for? I'm just trying to see if I can point them in any direction to help my case out.

Besides my first question, I also read that friction from sex can cause irritation of the skin which leads to an OB. Is this true?

As I've said before - time for a dermatologist. All sorts of things can be going on.

for most folks, sex isn't a trigger.
