How can I tell if I'm having an outbreak? I had sex about 2 weeks ago. A little less than a week after, I had symptoms of a UTI & went to the doctor (last Friday). He gave me antibiotics for a bladder infection. A few days later I end up with a yeast infection. I have now been on antibiotics for one week and took Diflucan 2 days ago. I still feel like there is something in my urethra (that uncomfortable uti feeling) and I have random itching. I do not see any bumps or cuts, just general redness and irritation & that uncomfortable/burning feeling. I have HSV1 but I do not know where I have it, so whenever anything strange goes on 'down there' I am always afraid it could be an outbreak. I am going out of town this week w/ a boy & am afraid of what all these symptoms could really be.

Statistically your hsv1 is oral.

You shouldn't engage in sexual activity again until you feel completely back to normal genitally though regardless. You won't want to further irritate things.
