Anyone out there that has herpes (either type) in the genitals and has outbreaks (either first or re-occuring) that get open lesions but don't experience pain, itchy, tingle, etc.

I am NOT talking about no symptoms (asymptomatic), I'm mean someone with visable sores, but don't have the other typical symptoms associated with a herpes outbreak.

I know anything is possible, but if the virus does present itself to the surface of the skin, it must pass along the nerves, which is what causes the pain, itchy, tingle, etc.

Hello, I'm back. It is close to a year since my initial outbreak and I've have probably 5-6 outbreaks since then (My igg tested positive for both type 1 and 2 and a skin scraping confirmed type 2 genitally). I'm on daily Valtrex and I believe I just had a outbreak but not certain. I had a few reddish bumps on my penis (the "pink" area), no pain, no itch, no nothing. I only noticed them because I inspect myself typically when I shower.

Anyone else out there that has outbreaks without any pain, tingle, itch, rash?
