I had the LEEP this morning. The nurse asked if it would be okay if there was a PA student in the room with me. I didn't have a problem with it, and she definitely helped me feel more comfortable.
Your experience sounds a lot better than mine -- when I had a LEEP, the local anesthetic injection was pretty painful. There was also a "beginning nurse" (very young looking) in the room, and as I lay on the table getting the anesthetic applied, she actually flinched. I was too nervous to say anything, but it made me pretty angry. I wanted to say, "You better control your face, I'm the uncomfortable one here!"
Anyway, congratulations on making it through. You'll feel better once the results come back, but most likely, they will have gotten everything. Mentally, I felt more "clean" after the LEEP, as if the procedure convinced my mind that all the abnormal cells were taken care of and my cervix was normal again. The emotional strain was pretty much alleviated.
