I tested positive for chlamydia. I was wondering if its positive for the test to show up positive after only 48 hours after sexual intercourse. Just hurting trying to figure out who how if and when.

Thanks

Hi lolo,

Chlamydia testing would probably detect the infection in 2-3 days, but this hasn't been well studied. A positive test doesn't give you a lot of insight in most cases as to exactly when the exposure took place, so it's frustrating. Could have been someone in the last week potentially, or someone weeks or even months ago.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but I hope this helps some.

Best,
Fredo
