Hi,

I've been using Aldara for about 3 weeks on 1 GW. The area where the wart is is now an open sore exactly the shape of the wart. (As you can guess, the open sore is also quite uncomfortable.) Must I continue putting the Aldara on the area? How do I know when the wart is actually gone for good?

It can take up to 16 weeks in some cases for aldara to be fully effective. Let your doctor know what's happening re: the sore. This is not uncommon with aldara, and sometimes a "rest" period is recommended. Don't stop the cream without checking with your doctor or pharmacist first to see what they say. The sores will heal either with the rest period or when treatment is over.
