If my partner and I are both positive for HSV1 and 2, do we have any issues about transmission between us? If we choose to have unprotected sex during an outbreak, can we do any harm to each other?

it's pretty much a comfort issue only - if it would hurt to have sex due to the location of the ob, don't have sex until it heals. also err on the side of caution and don't perform oral on an active genital lesion ( or with an active oral lesion ).
